Group Programme Agreement
Group Culture, Privacy, and Boundaries: This Agreement is entered into by The Neuro-Affirming Partnership Ltd ("the Facilitator") and ("the Participant").
Group programmes offer a powerful, shared environment for neurodivergent individuals and their allies. However, group dynamics require specific boundaries regarding privacy, intellectual property, and mutual respect. Please read this carefully before joining your first group call.
1. The Nature of the Group
Our group programmes provide non-clinical psychoeducation, strategic coaching, and shared peer experiences.
- Non-Clinical Disclaimer: This group is for educational and coaching purposes. It is not group therapy, clinical psychiatric treatment, or a medical support group.
- Self-Responsibility: You are responsible for your own emotional wellbeing during the sessions. If a topic feels overwhelming, you are encouraged to step away from the screen, turn off your camera, or leave the call to self-regulate.
2. Group Confidentiality & Psychological Safety
Creating a safe space is our highest priority, but we must be transparent about the limits of group privacy:
- The Golden Rule: "What is shared in the group, stays in the group." You agree to keep the identities, stories, and disclosures of all other participants strictly confidential.
- The Legal Limit: While the Facilitator is bound by strict professional confidentiality and UK GDPR, we cannot legally guarantee that other participants will keep your information private.
- Sharing Boundaries: We advise you to only share personal information that you feel safe disclosing in a semi-public setting.
- Facilitator Exceptions: The Facilitator will only break confidentiality outside the group if there is a severe safeguarding risk (e.g., risk of serious harm to self, others, or a child). See our Safeguarding Policy for full details.
3. Neuro-Affirming Group Etiquette
We celebrate different neurodivergent processing and communication styles. To ensure the group functions safely:
- Respectful Communication: You agree to communicate respectfully. We allow for differing processing speeds, need for movement (stimming), and the use of the chat box instead of speaking.
- Zero Tolerance: Discriminatory language, hate speech, bullying, or aggressive monopolisation of the group's time will not be tolerated. The Facilitator reserves the right to immediately mute or remove any participant breaching this rule, without a refund.
4. Intellectual Property (IP) & Recording
- No Recording: To protect the psychological safety of all participants, you are strictly prohibited from taking screenshots, recording audio, or recording video of the Google Meet sessions. The Facilitator will also not record the sessions.
- Protection of Materials: All frameworks, slides, worksheets, and concepts shared by The Neuro-Affirming Partnership Ltd remain our exclusive Intellectual Property. You may use them for your personal growth, but you may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them to non-participants.
5. Logistics, Attendance & Non-Refundability
- Commitment: Group programmes rely on a set schedule and cohort momentum. Please make every effort to attend all scheduled sessions.
- Missed Sessions: Because the group runs regardless of individual attendance, missed sessions cannot be rescheduled, refunded, or rolled over to future cohorts.
- No Partial Refunds: By attending the first group session, you waive your statutory 14-day cooling-off right. We do not offer partial refunds if you choose to leave the programme early.
